Construction at Dan Leckie Way starts March 16, 2026 for the Under Gardiner Lighting Project.
Construction on the Under Gardiner Lighting Project at Dan Leckie Way will begin Monday, March 16. During this period, the bike lane and sidewalk at the intersection will experience temporary disruptions while installation work is underway. Selective closures will be taking place during this period, but this lane will be redirected, and pedestrian access will still be available at peak times. There will be no disruptions to car traffic.
This work has an approved RoDARS application, and signage has been posted in the area to notify the community of the impending closure. Members of the public can view current road closures and disruptions through the City’s road restrictions portal here.
Following installation, commissioning and lighting performance adjustments will take place beginning April 3, to ensure the system is calibrated and operating as intended.
