Andrew Williamson

Andrew Williamson is a documenter of the arts, professional photographer, and all-around problem-solver. In 2011, he graduated from Toronto Metropolitan University with a BFA in Photography and has worked full time as a photographer and filmmaker ever since. 

Starting his career as Photographer for the Premier of Ontario, he has gone on to work across the province and sometimes the world, documenting everything from hyper-local art shows to large festivals and large scale public art projects.

In 2013 Andrew started a small art space in a Toronto storefront that showcased nearly a hundred exhibitions and events over 7 years with both established and up and coming artists. He opened his second gallery in a former car dealership in 2019. 

He has had the privilege of working with many of Toronto’s arts organizations including documenting the launch of The Bentway and a number of its early productions. 

Since 2020, Andrew has expanded his portfolio to include shooting and editing short and medium length documentary projects, and commercial work.
