Founded in 2011 by Christine Leu and Alan Webb, LeuWebb Projects is a collaborative studio that creates works of public art that awaken participants to an expanded understanding of, and connection to, place. In examining public space through the frame of public art and social actions, LeuWebb explore new design models for flexible, climate resilient, and inclusive urban spaces, and investigate the role of public art in shaping the human experience and advancing social and environmental justice.
Leu and Webb are both artists with prior training as architects, and have lived and worked in Montreal, New York City, London, Rome, and Helsinki, and currently call Toronto, Canada, home. Their unique approach to design is the focus of their teaching at the University of Toronto, Ontario College of Art and Design, and Toronto Metropolitan University.
