Liza Paul (She/her) is a writer, curator, comedian, and director. She has worked extensively in theatre with Soulpepper Theatre Company, Anitafrika! Dub Theatre, BCurrent, the Watah Theatre, and the Theatre Centre. She is currently the lead curator and artistic director of the annual BIPOC-centred Comedy Is Art Festival (est. 2019 at the Theatre Centre). Liza wrote the 2025 and 2026 Dora Mavor Moore Award shows and is the co-creator of Pomme is French for Apple. Liza also co-directed, co-produced, and performed in MASHUP PON DI ROAD by Bahia Watson. Television writing credits include From Ontario, With Love (TVO); Big Brother Canada (Global).
