The Melanin Skate Crew was founded in the summer of 2020 during the pandemic as a medium to support the physical/mental health of community members through rollerskating, culture, and music. They have since grown to a community of over 1000 members who participate in events, workshops, lessons, and online engagements across Toronto, Durham, and the GTA! Since their inception, they have an active social media presence, a merchandise line, and a growing executive team who constantly seek opportunities to grow the brand and community. Their goal is to make rollerskating a community-building movement to protect and advance the culture for years to come.
