Christine Brubaker is a director, writer, and performer and is a dual citizen of Calgary and Toronto. She has directed world premieres for the stage at the Shaw Festival, Theatre Passe Muraille, Eldritch Theatre and Downstage Theatre. She is the creator of Henry G20, a large-scale outdoor performance and contemporary adaptation of Henry V premiering at the Bentway in Toronto in 2021. She continues to perform and tour 7th Cousins: An Automythography which she co-created with multidisciplinary artist, Erin Brubacher. Christine is the winner of two Dora Mavor Moore Awards for performance, the 2014 Gina Wilkinson Prize and 2016 Ken McDougall Award for Direction. She is on faculty in the Drama Department at the University of Calgary’s School of Creative and Performing Arts.
Cathleen is a Costume Designer, Cutter, and illustrator working out of Calgary, AB, Canada. Cathleen’s formal training began at Trozmer Universidad de Diseño in Puebla, Mexico where she learned the basics of patterning and construction. Upon returning to Canada she obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Costume Design from Dalhousie University. In tandem with her baccalaureate work Cathleen studied experimental fashion under renowned textile artist Toshiko Macadam at NSCAD University, and obtained a coveted work study placement at The Banff Centre as the assistant designer for their Summer Ballet Series. She then returned to Calgary where she had the privilege to work in a myriad of roles with an amazing diversity of talent. In 2018 she attended Central Saint Martins in London, where she further honed her design sensibilities and process. Cathleen has had the pleasure of designing for the Opera, Theatre, local Indie-musicians, Film, and Television.
