Light Toronto Orange

On September 30, 2026, The Bentway Skate Trail and the Malting Silos at Public Pier will be illuminated orange as a symbol of remembrance, reflection, and our shared commitment to Truth and Reconciliation alongside the CN Tower and our neighbourhood partners.

All are welcome to join the CN Tower’s Light Up the Tower event, held in partnership with the Orange Shirt Society, at the base of the CN Tower as the orange glow illuminates the city skyline. The evening will feature remarks from Elders and Indigenous community representatives, along with music, traditional drumming, and dance performances intended to bring Indigenous and non-Indigenous communities together in the spirit of reconciliation.

Inspired by the story of Phyllis Webstad (Secwépemc from the Stswecem’c Xgat’tem First Nation), Orange Shirt Day reminds us that Every Child Matters. It is an opportunity to honour Survivors, remember those who never returned home, and reflect on the ongoing journey toward reconciliation.
