Tessar Lo

Born in Jakarta, Indonesia and raised in Toronto, Tessar Lo works in a variety of mediums and employs diverse approaches toward surface and story. Lo is keen on language, time, the unplaceable and the preposterous. He is motivated by the transitions synonymous with world-building and wishes to engage in modes of mythology. 

Since graduating with a BAA from Sheridan College, Lo has had prolonged stints in Los Angeles and parts of Indonesia- Lo has exhibited internationally at Jaski Art Gallery, Amsterdam, Netherlands; Door Studios, Paris, France; Japanese American National Museum, Los Angeles, USA; Atticus Gallery, Barcelona, Spain; and in Hong Kong, China. His artworks have been featured in Toronto at The Power Plant Contemporary Art Gallery, Cooper Cole Gallery, Drake Hotel, and Project Gallery.
