If your kids like dinosaurs, they’ll love Dino Runs @ The Bentway! The morning starts with costumed Dino Specialists teaching participants about dinosaurs through songs, dance, and games. Then, the kids become Dino Explorers, ready to chase and recapture escaped dinosaurs in a fun, non-competitive environment.
The main event is a non-competitive run around our 200m figure-eight skate trail to chase after and catch dinosaurs! It’s a fun and creative way to start the weekend. All registered participants will receive a Dino Medal that roars at the end of the run.
Family members are welcome to join the run at no cost – only kids need a ticket. Adventure awaits! And, visit The Mom Market Toronto on site during the event.
What to expect:
- Wheelchair accessible.
- Washrooms will be available during the event.

- Kids will be divided into two groups (Ages 4 and under and Ages 5 and up).
- Kids engage in Age-appropriate Dino Run Training, including warm-up, songs, dance and games.
- The EPIC RUN features an unlimited non-competitive ~200m looped course, allowing participants to complete it as many times as they like.
- There will be a photographers on site. Be sure to smile when you see them! After the event, a link will be shared.
- Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

What is the distance of the run?
There is no set distance! The course is an approximately 200 meters loop and can be completed by the child as many times as they wish. This promotes a non-competitive environment for families to enjoy running together! Everyone who completes any distance has completed the task of capturing a dinosaur in the form of the Dino Medal!
NEW this year is a 5 Loop (approx. 1km) and 10 Loop (approx. 2km) Challenge. Every child who completes the Challenge will receive an additional electronic-Certificate emailed to them at the end of the race.
What age do you have to be to run?
0-100 years old! Everyone is welcome! The run is structured so the entire family is encouraged to run. Invite the great-grandparents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, babies in strollers, no one is left behind!
Where is the run located?
The Bentway, 250 Fort York Blvd. This is the skate trail and NOT The Bentway Studio, please enter the address into google maps/GPS carefully.
How do I get there by TTC?
Dino Run is located at The Bentway, 250 Fort York Blvd. TTC: Take the Northbound or Southbound Bathurst Streetcar and get off at Fort York. Walk west on Fort York.
Is there parking?
Yes, there is limited metered parking on the West side of The Bentway.
Is there same day registration?
If the event is not sold out you may register on site at the Registration Table.
How do I prepare for the run?
Be sure to dress yourself and the family in comfortable clothes and running shoes. Sandals are not recommended. Bring water and a light snack.
