The Bentway is pleased to announce the appointment of new members to its Board of Directors, strengthening the organization’s leadership as it continues to expand its impact across Toronto’s public realm.
The newly appointed directors include Jaiveer Singh, CEO of Mint Pharmaceuticals, a leader in healthcare innovation with deep experience in executive leadership and strategic growth across complex organizations, and Jen Grant, a lawyer and entrepreneur whose work advances food security, public space, and social justice, bringing strong expertise in community advocacy and inclusive city-building. Alongside the full Board of Directors, their leadership will support The Bentway’s continued evolution and long-term mission to transform infrastructure into dynamic public spaces that foster connection, creativity, and a more inclusive city.

– Daniel Shearer, Board Chair of The Bentway
These appointments come at a pivotal moment for The Bentway, as the organization advances major initiatives including the expansion of its footprint along the Gardiner corridor, new partnerships across the city, and a growing portfolio of year-round cultural and recreational programming.
“As a long-time resident of the neighbourhood, The Bentway’s work has always resonated with me personally. I’m excited to join such a dynamic team and contribute to the important work of making Toronto’s urban spaces more livable, creative, and connected.”
– Jaiveer Singh

“The Bentway was love at first sight. The magic of coming upon a space I thought of as the underside of a highway and discovering it transformed into a vibrant space for public art and community activity left a strong impression on me. I can’t wait to see how The Bentway evolves to meet the needs of our city. I’m thrilled to be part of it.”
– Jen Grant
With this strengthened Board, The Bentway is positioned to expand how Torontonians experience the spaces beneath and alongside the Gardiner—making them more connected, more active, and more reflective of the city around them.
