From Steps to Stories Public Opening

Be the first to experience From Steps to Stories, a new high-tech exhibition presented with Autodesk Research. Join us on Friday, November 3 from 6:00pm-8:00pm for a free reception at The Bentway Studio as we launch this interactive showcase of cutting-edge space-sensing technology and consider its implications for understanding public space.

Members from Autodesk’s industrial research lab and the Bentway’s Planning and Design team will be present to share insights into the project, what we’ve learned so far and what’s next. It’s a must-attend for anyone interested in new, participatory research methods that empower people to provide feedback about the spaces they use.

From Steps to Stories is an interactive installation showcasing the results of an ongoing research project between Autodesk and the Bentway that explores human-centred design. Through an array of digital sensors and personal observations, study participants provided a vast amount of information on the interconnectivity between human experiences and the built environment under the Gardiner Expressway.
