Boom Town positions a fleet of boom lifts as street theatre, with a rotating cast of characters that help the city welcome the changing seasons. Design teams 5468796 Architecture and Toronto’s Office In Search Of drew inspiration from the ongoing transformation of the Gardiner Expressway and the familiar presence of equipment deployed to inspect and maintain the structure.
This month, Boom Town celebrates Pride, a time for communal joy, expression, courage, and protest for the LGBTQ+ communities. Pride has always played in public places; at The Bentway we’re committed to enabling a safe shared space and supporting queer and trans creative voices all year-round.

Join Beanfield at The Bentway to celebrate Toronto’s incredible 2SLGBTQ+ community in the lead up to Pride weekend! The evening will include DJs, drag performances, food trucks, drinks, and more. Entry to the event is free and open to the public, so come by for an evening of fun. See you there!
