The Bentway is proud to announce the addition of two new Public Space Fellows for 2022 – Faizaan Khan (he/they) and Jess Misak (they/them) – emerging advocates in the fields of architecture and design.
Khan and Misak join The Bentway for a five-month, full-time fellowship where they will engage directly with our upcoming Spring/Summer season that examines the role of the street as a vital site for social, political, and cultural innovation and connection. The Fellows will play a pivotal role in shaping and leading our forthcoming Street Summit and informing The Bentway’s future planning and design work.
This marks the second year of The Bentway’s Public Space Fellowship program, which aims to ensure that burgeoning talent, lived experience, and a diversity of expertise shapes a more inclusive and accessible city for all. The Fellowship creates new opportunities within the public space field for dynamic, intersectional voices that are frequently left out of civic dialogue and city-building.
