This Summer, Dive ‘Beyond Concrete’ at The Bentway

As Toronto wrestles with important questions about the Expressway and its future, The Bentway invites the city to dive “beyond the concrete” and explore the nature of the Gardiner. Visitors will discover a thriving urban ecosystem beneath the highway, where human-made infrastructure intertwines with resilient wildlife, growing in spite of, and because of, the concrete.
Introducing Our 2023 “Dance in Public Space” Artists in Residence

We selected three artists who focus on dance, movement, and/or embodied practice to participate in an open-ended and research-based project that contributes to re-imagining the opportunities of urban spaces.
